UK's Royal Mail to park its bikes

This news makes me want to hang my head and cry. The UK has provided a lot of leadership on climate change and sustainability , but this is a real blow.

The UK's Royal Mail has used bikes since 1880 to deliver the mail, one of many ways in which this island nation has always had a natural tendency towards sustainability. Small electric milk floats for daily home milk delivery are another great feature of the UK's transport profile. Inventions borne out of necessity are usually pretty sensible.
